Membership and Renewals

Membership is open to British Columbians with a passion for floating homes. This includes float home residents, marina owners and operators, and others engaged in the business of float homes. Please complete our membership form, and submit your payment either by using our secure PayPal feature, or by mailing us a cheque. ​Both new and returning members are asked to complete our form. Although we will accept cash/cheques at the AGM, our preference is for payment ahead of time as it can get busy at the registration desk.

You do not have to have a PayPal account to use our online system, you can click "pay with credit card" after entering your email address on the payment page. 

Memberships are $25 per-person. If a household or business has more than one individual who wishes to be a voting member, a separate form and fee must be submitted for each individual. Memberships expire on March 31st of each year. If your last payment was in 2024, you must renew by March 31 to maintain your membership. Only registered members with paid dues are permitted to vote at the AGM.

You may renew your membership at the AGM, however, to expedite registration, we ask that you use our online. 

This year’s theme is The Mighty Fraser River! Our guest speaker will be Karen Lee, the director of the Fraser River Discovery Centre. Additional speakers will be added as they are confirmed. 

Because we have to report attendance ahead of time to allow for set-up, all members and guests are required to RSVP using the registration link, or by emailing us at floathomepacific@gmail.com

The Fraser River Discovery Centre provides the perfect backdrop for our 35th annual general meeting. Enjoy spectacular views of the Mighty Fraser River from windows on the first and second floor. Members and guests are encouraged to arrive early and explore the Fraser River Discovery Centre.

As “The Voice of the Fraser,” The Fraser River Discovery Centre presents the stories of the Fraser River and its contribution to the life, history, and future of British Columbia. Discover the environment, economy and culture of the Fraser River through rotating exhibits and hands-on programmes at the Fraser River Discovery Centre in New Westminster.

The Discovery Centre seeks to connect communities up- and down-river and to provide a place to discuss, debate, and showcase the living, working Fraser River.

We suggest that you give yourselves an hour or more to see the exhibits and visit the gift shop. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for seniors. All proceeds from admission support the non-profit centre and their education programs. You do not have to pay admission if you are only attending the AGM.  

Getting there: The Fraser River Discovery Centre is a short walk from the New Westminster Station on the Expo Line Skytrain.
