Words & Pictures

Advertising executive Fred R. Barnard got it right when he said "a picture is worth ten thousand words". That was back in 1921 - what would he say today about the proliferation of imagery in the media, and the convenience of modern photography?

We're blending words and pictures in this section to tell the story of floating homes. From newspapers and magazines to television and books, this lifestyle has captured the imagination of the media - providing attractive imagery and fabulous commentary.

Our Gallery page features images of floating homes and the surrounding vistas that complement the waterborn lifestyle. The Media and Books page highlights articles and books that tell the story of the "floatie", and finally, for those who love moving pictures, our Video section links to Television and YouTube episodes and documentaries about the floating structures we call home.
