The Floating Home Association of BC (FHA) represents the British Columbia floating home sector and residents. A nonprofit organization, the FHA was registered in 1990, to serve as the voice and support network for the floating home lifestyle. Through meetings, newsletters and a comprehensive website, the association provides resources, information and networking for those interested in living on the water.

Elected by the membership, the board of directors is comprised of volunteers representing both floating home residents and marina owners. The association is funded through membership fees, directors work diligently on behalf of members to liaise with government agencies on relevant topics and legislation that impacts floating homes, while promoting float home living to the public.

The mission of the FHA is to protect, preserve and promote the vitality of the BC floating home lifestyle through education, advocacy, and collaboration.

Members of the BCFHA are grateful to live, work, and be in relation with people from across many traditional and unceded territories, covering all regions of British Columbia. We acknowledge that we are settlers and live on this water and land, and are committed to reconciliation, decolonization, and building relationships in our communities and lives.
