At long last - a membership meeting and social!
After more that 2 years of isolation and social distancing, we can finally gather in person again. As such, it gives us great pleasure to announce that on Saturday, May 7th we will be hosting our Annual General Meeting and social gathering for members of the Floating Home Association (and friends).

The Event: Westham Island Floating Home Marina in Ladner has generously offered to be our host. The event will kick off with the presentation of the Floating Home Champion Awards, followed by a short presentation on the Association's most recent efforts on your behalf. The education session will focus on floating home building and renovations, power smart and other ways to improve your home. The Mayor of Delta, the Honourable George Harvey has been invited to update us on his efforts to secure sustainable dredging funding for the lower Fraser River. Finally, the highlight of the event will be the opportunity to socialize and engage with your fellow floating home community in a spacious indoor/outdoor facility.

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm—The Social! Finally, the highlight of the event will be the opportunity to socialize and engage with your fellow floating home community in a spacious indoor/outdoor facility. We will have finger foods and refreshments.
The Venue: Savour the history of Ladner in one of Westham Island's original net sheds and enjoy the spectacular view from the huge wooden deck that stretches out over the water. As the net shed isn't heated, we suggest you layer or bring a jacket just in case it's cool. A washroom is located close by. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please note that there will be no alcohol and there is absolutely no smoking on the premises.
Pre-Registration and Event Details: For planning purposes, all attendees must pre-register for the event. Please click here to register - each attendee must complete a separate form. After you register you will receive additional information about directions and parking. For those who wish to attend from Vancouver Island, we will arrange a pick-up at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. For those who wish to arrive by small boat, we will provide information on docking your boat.
We request that all attendees be fully vaccinated. Masks are optional.
Membership and Renewals: Membership is open to British Columbians with a passion for floating homes. This includes float home residents, marina owners and operators, and others engaged in the business of float homes. Please complete our membership form, and submit your payment either by using our secure PayPal feature, or by mailing us a cheque.
Memberships are $25 per-person. If a household or business has more than one individual who wishes to be a voting member, a separate form and fee must be submitted for each individual. Memberships expire on March 31st of each year. Only registered members with paid dues are permitted to vote at the AGM. You may renew your membership at the AGM, however, to expedite registration, prior payment is appreciated.
